All That Remains (Burial Quilt)
The making of the material goods we bring into our lives is on our conscience. We also bear responsibility for what happens to them at the end of their life — and what we leave behind at the end of ours.
Stories are embedded in these material fragments — old clothes, bedding, and scraps. I could be buried in this quilt and rest in peace with its remains — useful in life, and in death.
This quilt was exhibited as a finalist in the 2025 Northern Beaches Environmental Art and Design Prize.
